Manyaku Mashilo will discuss how her work process relates to her love for literature, theatre and film in a talk with Afro-Dutch writer Simone Zeefuik at Theater Bellevue on 22 October.
'At Rest - A Conversation with Manyaku Mashilo' forms part of Theater Bellevue's The Future is Female programme, which gives space to cultural practitioners who question patriarchy, fixed notions of gender identity and sexuality.
Simone Zeefuik is an Amsterdam-based writer, cultural programmer and organiser whose work centres around representation, inclusivity and social justice. She focuses on Afri-centred perspectives, decolonising knowledge institutes, the illegalised members of the Afro-Dutch communities and (digital) archives.
