          New brand identity for a new global chapter

          To mark the milestone of Southern Guild’s expansion to the United States, the gallery has reimagined its online presence with a new website and brand identity.

          Storytelling is a guiding thread in our artists’ work, and as a gallery we partner with them in seeking out ways to articulate what it means to be human. With this in mind, we worked with DashDigital to create a more immersive showcase of our artists’ contributions to the global art landscape, focusing not only on their work but on their studio process and the fertile framework of ideas and influences that inform their output.

          Southern Guild’s new website features in-depth profiles, a curated selection of work, and content-rich media including films produced by the gallery. Our news pages have been expanded to include richer editorial content such as long-form essays and interviews with artists, curators and thought leaders.

          All of this has been packaged in an innovative design framework, which has won kudos from international organisations, Awwwards and FWA. At the heart of our streamlined look is our new logo, created by long-time collaborator Francois Rey of Monday Design. Having established our identity as an African gallery with a unique perspective, we have honed in on our name, which stands for human-centric collaboration and distinctive excellence.
