Industry brings together designers working in metal in a variety of ways - from communicating the fabrication process and revealing the mechanical parts, to achieving a suppleness of form and precision.
Southern Guild is pleased to present Industry, a presentation of work where metal is emphasized as a material – be it through exposed nuts and bolts that hint at the making process or refined geometric forms revealing the precision of the artist. The limited-edition collectible designs, if not directly influenced by machines and machinery, have been made from found industrial parts that have been repurposed and collaged into a raw yet unexpectedly balanced result.
