Recollect is an anthology of the most iconic works of art and collectible design from each of Southern Guild’s previous exhibitions to date. This body of work stands as testament to a pioneering platform that is enriching our thinking about form and functionality.
Southern Guild presents Recollect, an anthology of the most iconic works from each of the gallery's previous collection, including pieces by 62 of South Africa’s most noteworthy talents.
Hosted at Cape Town’s Woodstock Foundry, the six-week showcase includes explorative works by Heath Nash, Dokter and Misses, Porky Hefer, Philippe Bousquet and Conrad Botes. Pierre Cronje’s vibrant Collaboration Bench, Michael Methven’s life-size Rhino and a bronze gorilla cabinet by foundry co-owners Bronze Age add to a collection that has established Southern Guild as the most significant design forum in the country.
