RICH is a once-off magazine published by Southern Guild in cooperation with BMW South Africa on the occasion of Nyoka, a solo exhibition of collectible furniture by Rich Mnisi.

RICH features 132 pages of specially commissioned photography, writing and illustrations by contributors including Trevor Stuurman, Zander Opperman, Kholeka Kumalo, Ricardo Simal, Khensani Mohlatlole, Alix Stemmelin, and many others. It tells the story of Mnisi’s collaborations with artists and artisans to produce the works for his exhibition, includes a candid interview with his mother, explores the role of fluidity in his philosophy, and charts the evolution of his creative vision.
All the content is original and in-depth – an inspiring and beautifully produced record of unique talent and creativity.
Printed in a limited edition of only 750 copies.
Rich Mnisi’s exhibition, Nyoka, is on view at Southern Guild in Cape Town’s Silo District until 4 February 2022.
