SGX: A Decade of Iconic Design, a video made in co-operation with BMW South Africa.
Captures Southern Guild’s ground-breaking trajectory through interviews with founders Trevyn and Julian McGowan, and artists Atang Tshikare, Andile Dyalvane, Chuma Maweni, Madoda Fani, Otto du Plessis, Charles Haupt, Zizipho Poswa, Justine Mahoney and Stanislaw Trzebinski.
To celebrate the gallery’s 10th anniversary, Atang Tshikare illustrated iconic works and milestone moments directly onto a BMW X4, which went on display outside Southern Guild in the Silo District of the V&A Waterfront. Tshikare completed his illustrations live on the opening night of the SGX exhibition.
