Design Miami 2018

Following on from the sell-out success of Porky Hefer’s work at Design Miami/ Basel 2018, where Southern Guild and SFA Advisory co-presented his acclaimed project Endangered to benefit the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, Southern Guild’s booth features four of his cocoon-like seating environments handcrafted from leather and woven grass. The gallery also launches a number of specially commissioned new works in bronze, including Kenyan sculptor Stanislaw Trzebinski’s Extra Terrestrial table, a pair of zoomorphic seats by Atang Tshikare, Xandre Kriel’s geometrically reductive Vos Altar table, and a near-abstract, monolithic console by Dylan Lewis, known internationally for his bronze sculptures depicting African wildlife.
